A man arrested on Tuesday for attempted murder and robbery on Dec. 12 is also connected to an attempted home invasion and armed robbery.
Caleb Heyward is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint on Monday around 10 p.m. at the 7-Eleven at 5570 N. Orange Blossom Trail.
The victim told police that they spoke with Heyward, and he pulled a gun, pointed it at the victim’s face and demanded everything from his pockets, including his wallet and phone.
The victim was shot in the hip, and Heyward ran toward Cinderlane Parkway.
Investigators noticed similarities between the person they were looking for in the Dec. 6. robbery and attempted murder incident on Cinderlane Parkway and the Dec. 12 incident, including a revolver that was used on Dec. 6.
Investigators also found evidence that connected Heyward to an armed robbery on Dec. 3.
Heyward was arrested for attempted murder and robbery.
Investigators say Heyward could also face additional charges.
