When Ashley didn’t answer multiple calls or texts, her mom thought it was weird because signing the lease for the new place was of course really important and something that Ashley had been excited about. Plus, she never just ignored her moms calls, especially if they had plans. So her mom decided to try to get ahold of some of her friends to see what was going on, like maybe her phone was dead, maybe she overslept after being out all night – but Ashley’s friends said they hadn’t been with her the night before, and that she had gone to hang out with Jared that night. Her mom asked around until she found Jared’s number, and then she called him. Except, Jared didn’t answer… because Ashley was no longer alive.
